About Forster's Christmas Tree Shop
"Forster" in German means, "Keeper of the Forest." Being of German, Swiss and Polish descent, and with the name of Forster, it seemed
fitting that we created what the name intended. We started with remembering where we had come from and tried to continue to bring the
spirit of past into the present day. The Christmas tree and its ornaments all have a traditional meaning and a connection to the birth
of Christ. Our name, the feeling of the season, and the religious connection encouraged us to start our farm.
We offer the best quality, freshly cut, New Hampshire grown, premium trees. Come visit our shop, we're more than just a Christmas tree
farm!
Trees, Ornaments, and Cuckoo Clocks can be ordered through our website!
Did you know? "Christmas tree farming is a good land conservation measure, combining elements of soil retention, water
shed protection, forestry management and wildlife improvement. Christmas trees are a natural, living resource that helps
to provide a healthier environment by releasing large amounts of oxygen into the atmosphere. Christmas trees have year
round color and fresh fragrance that creates a natural living beauty. The variations in size and texture supply our
landscape with attractive visual interest and appeal.
"Christmas tree farms re-establish the traditions of families choosing and cutting their own tree. This custom encourages
an appreciation and respect for nature and our natural recourses. Trimming the Christmas tree brings many families
together each holiday season for a special time of warmth and sharing. The Christmas tree is a symbol of family unity."
--Thomas J. Vilsack, Governor of Iowa
"Agriculture has long been an important part of the economic, social and cultural fabric of New Hampshire. Farmers have been producing crops from New Hampshire soil for 375 years. Today, although agriculture is important to communities, it is facing significant challenges, not only from the increasing pressures of growth and development, but also from municipal regulations that may be inhospitable to many agricultural practices." www.des.nh.gov/organization/divisions/water/wmb/repp
